SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

Half Day, Depart: 60 mins prior to sunrise
Join the coach and travel into Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and watch as the day's first light creeps over the desert floor and strikes Uluru (Ayers Rock) giving a brilliant display of light, shade and colour. Call into the Cultural Centre to learn of the culture and law of the Anangu people, the park's current custodians. A tasty breakfast at the Cultural Centre is also included. After breakfast, hear the legends of Kuniya Tjukurpa (Python Dreaming), and join Aboriginal guides and a language interpreter for the famous Liru Walk, as you retrace the path of mythological ancestors and hear stories told by the Aborigines. See a bush skills demonstration, including making the kiti (glue) used to construct weapons, how to light a fire without matches and tool carving using sharpened stones. (B)
