Welcomed on arrival at Ayers Rock prior to 1.00 p.m. for transfer to hotel. This afternoon, travel to the domes of Kata Tjuta and walk into majestic Olga Gorge. At sunset, stop to watch the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying a complimentary glass of wine.

Day 2. Sunrise, Liru Walk, Sounds of Silence

Return to Uluru and watch as the sun’s first rays strike the great monolith, then enjoy breakfast at the Cultural Centre. Join Aboriginal guides and a language interpreter for the fascinating Liru Walk. Retrace the path of Aboriginal mythological ancestors visiting sacred sites and hearing stories told by the traditional owners. Learn about the history of Uluru and ancient bush skills before visiting the Cultural Centre. Tonight experience the gourmet ‘Sounds of Silence’ dinner in the desert followed by a guided tour of the stars in the desert night sky. (BD)

Day 3. Ayers Rock Resort, Kings Canyon

Morning at leisure. This afternoon, depart for Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park.

Day 4. Kings Canyon Walk, Alice Springs

Kings Canyon, located on the western edge of the George Gill Ranges, is a huge formation of weathered rocks and beautiful waterholes. You have a choice of two guided walks. For the more energetic, the rim walk rewards you with stunning views of the canyon walls and takes you through the formation of the ‘Lost City’ and down into a lushly vegetated valley to see the ‘Garden of Eden’. The canyon floor walk takes you deep into the canyon, through beautiful plant life and beneath towering orange walls. This afternoon travel to Alice Springs, stopping en route at Kings Creek Station to learn about life on an ‘Outback’ cattle station.
