Kakadu, Ubirr & Guluyambi Cruise

SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

Full Day, Depart: 6.45 a.m.
Travel across the Marrakai Plains and enter World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, home to a profusion of birdlife and other native fauna. Visit Bowali Visitor Centre and Park Headquarters to see displays on the flora and fauna found in the park. View the ancient Aboriginal rock paintings at Ubirr, which has been added in its own right to World Heritage status because of its anthropological and archeological value. Following lunch, join the Guluyambi cruise, and accompanied by Aboriginal guides, cruise the East Alligator River. Learn about the ancient Aboriginal culture and legends of the region, and by special permission, enjoy a short walk into Arnhem Land. Return to Darwin via Windows on the Wetlands, and enjoy a glass of wine at sunset. (L)
