Day 1. Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (Olgas)
Leave Alice Springs and travel through the MacDonnell and James Ranges, making a short stop at Noel Fullerton's Camel Farm. Reboard the coach and continue to Ayers Rock Resort. After checking in, tour to the magnificent domes of Kata Tjuta and take a guided walk between the domes into majestic Olga Gorge, following the course of the creek bed. Within these giant domes, rare plants thrive, some found only in and around this formation. Late in the afternoon, head to sunset strip to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the changing colours of Uluru at sunset. Accommodation: Ayers Rock Resort for 2 nights, choice of hotel. (B)
Day 2. Mala Walk, 'Sounds of Silence' Dinner
Enjoy a glass of champagne and see Uluru at sunrise, before taking a guided walk to Mutitjulu waterhole. The more energetic may substitute this to climb Uluru. Join the Mala Walk to learn of the flora, fauna and natural history of the region. Visit sacred Kantju Gorge and pay visits to the Cultural Centre and Maruku Arts and Craft Cooperative. Tonight, experience the 'Sounds of Silence", an evening spent dining on superb cuisine in a desert setting. (D)
Day 3. Ayers Rock Resort
Morning at leisure to relax and explore the facilities at the resort. Afternoon transfer to Ayers Rock Airport.
