Itinerary

Day 1. Broome, Gibb River Road, Windjana

Depart Broome at 7.00 a.m. Visit the Boab Prison Tree before we reach the Gibb River Road. Explore Tunnel Creek and take a short walk into Windjana Gorge.

Two Night Stay: Imintji Safari Camp. (LD)

Day 2. Bell Gorge

Hike and swim at ruggedly beautiful Bell Gorge. (BLD)

Day 3. Barnett River Gorge, Galvans Gorge

Discover these idyllic gorges then head north.

Camp: Marunbabidi Safari Camp. (BLD)

Day 4. Mitchell Plateau, Ancient Rock Art

On the Mitchell Plateau, inspect rare Wandjina art and swim at the King Edward River Crossing.

Three Night Stay: Ungolan Safari Camp. (BLD)

Day 5. Mitchell Falls, Little Merton

Discover Mitchell Falls in full, with its magnificent waterfalls and Aboriginal art. When possible, local Aboriginal guides will join us for the day. Hike to Little Merton's Falls, view Gwion (Bradshaw) art and Big Merton Falls, and explore Mitchell Falls. (BLD)

Day 6. Mitchell Plateau at leisure

Enjoy a day at leisure on the remote Mitchel Plateau. Our camp is nestled beside a delightful waterhole on Camp Creek, an inviting spot for a swim. Perhaps enjoy a stroll through the forest of Livistonia Palms.

Day 7. Scenic Helicopter Flight, Board the luxurious

Enjoy a morning at leisure then, we board a helicopter for an exhilarating flight over falls (flight included). Land aboard the 'Kimberley Quest' helipad and settle in to your luxury ship and relax before lunch. (BLD)

Day 8. Hunter River, St George Basin

Today we cruise the spectacular Hunter River and view Port Nelson's ancient boab tree, first visited in 1820 by the early explorers. On to the gorgeous St George Basin, a large inland waterway with an age-old escarpment and rugged scenery. (BLD)

Day 9. Prince Regent River, King Cascades

Today is a true highlight as we cruise inland up the mighty Prince Regent River to the King Cascades, an impressive 30 metre waterfall. You can climb above the falls for a swim in the freshwater pools. Later, there is time to fish for barramundi. (BLD)

Day 10. Prince Regent River, Camp Creek

On the Prince Regent River, there are numerous opportunities for shore excursions. View the local wildlife, including crocodiles. Cruise to Camp Creek to see rock art and the awesome twin waterfalls. (BLD)

Day 11. Kuri Bay, Sale River Rainforest

See Kuri Bay, site of the Kimberley's first and largest pearling operation. Cruise through Doubtful Bay to the impressive Sale River, surrounded by remote Kunmunya Aboriginal Land. We board the tenders for an excursion, walking amid the rainforest. Time for a swim. (BLD)

Day 12. Montgomery Reef,

Visit Montgomery Reef and witness an amazing waterfall effect in the ocean. At the spectacular 'Horizontal' Waterfalls, huge tides send water crashing through a narrow gap in the cliff. We board the tenders and head in for up-close views. (BLD)

Day 13. Talbot Bay, Buccaneer Archipelago

Cruise Yampi Sound and visit Crocodile Creek. Relax at Silver Gull over a barbecue lunch with the locals. We cross King Sound and pass through the stunning Buccaneer Archipelago, called the 'Thousand Island' because of its many uninhabited islands. (BLD)

Day 14. Cruise Concludes, Cable Beach

Arrive in Broome, approximately 7.30 a.m. Farewell the magnificent 'Kimberley Quest' as you are transferred to Chinatown where a delicious breakfast is awaiting you to relax and enjoy. (B)
