Itinerary

Day 1. Broome, Gibb River Road, Windjana
Depart Broome at 7.00 a.m. and begin your journey to the magnificent Mitchell Plateau. At Derby, visit the Boab Prison Tree before joining the famous Gibb River Road. Travel to Tunnel Creek and wade through this eerie natural tunnel. Walk into Windjana Gorge.
Two Night Stay: Imintji Safari Camp. Stay in the comforts of our permanent campsite. (LD)
 

Day 2. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming
Travel via Outback landscapes to rugged Bell Gorge. Enjoy the afternoon to discover the spectacular scenery and perhaps swim below the waterfall. (BLD)
 

Day 3. Barnett River Gorge, Galvans Gorge
At beautiful Barnett River Gorge, enjoy lunch under shady paperbark trees. Head to Galvans Gorge for a short walk. Leaving the Gibb River Road, we travel north towards the Mitchell Plateau.
Camp: King Edward River, Marunbabidi Safari Camp. Relax in the tranquil bush setting. (BLD)
 

Day 4. Mitchell Plateau, Ancient Rock Art, King Edward River, Ungolan Safari Camp
Ascending the remote Mitchell Plateau, we explore an amazing Wandjina gallery and swim in the clear waters at the King Edward River Crossing.
Two Night Stay: Ungolan Safari Camp. Our exclusive permanent camp at the top of Mitchell Plateau. (BLD)
 

Day 5. Mitchell Falls, Bradshaw Rock Art
Today we have a full day to discover Mitchell Falls with local Aboriginal guides where possible. Begin with a guided hike to Little Merton's Falls to see impressive Aboriginal art. Continue to view Bradshaw art and Big Merton Falls before arriving at stunning Mitchell Falls. Enjoy time to explore and perhaps
a swim. You may wish to join an optional helicopter flight over the falls or choose a longer flight over the isolated coastline (own expense). (BLD)

Day 6. Mitchell Plateau, Broome, Kununurra
Today we view galleries of ancient Aboriginal art before saying goodbye to the Mitchell Plateau. Fly to either Broome or Kununurra. (B)
